Useful Information
Passports & visas
Tourists from the European Union and from most Commonwealth countries do not require a visa to spend their holidays in Mauritius. Visitors must however hold a passport that is valid at least six months after their date of return as well as a return ticket and enough financial resources to cover their expenses for their holiday.
No health certificate is required at your arrival in Mauritius. If however you come from a country representing a risk of dengue fever, cholera etc, you will have a follow-up call by the health services after a few days to enquire about your health state. If you show signs of fever or weaknesses, a blood test will be required. The sanitary infrastructures are of a satisfactory level in all important towns of the island.
