Hotel overview
Located on more than 8 hectares of land with over half a kilometre of white sandy beach, Sugar Beach Resort is adjacent to La Pirogue Hotel on the leeward West coast of Mauritius. Access to the facilities of La Pirogue is within walking distance. The hotel is also well situated near the commercial centres of Port Louis and Curepipe as well as the Marlin Fishing Clubs of Black River.
Accommodation
The 238 spacious rooms are located in the Manor House or in 16 Colonial-style Villas, on the ground or first floor, and looking across the gardens to the 1,500ft white-sand beach and sea.
66 luxurious Beach Villa rooms and two Deluxe Suites are steps away from the beach, and offer uninterrupted sea and sunset views.
All rooms have private bath, shower and wc, satellite television with video channels, international dial telephone, radio, teletext information system, air-conditioning, hairdryer, bathrobes, electronic safe, minibar, stationery rack, tea/coffee making facilities - and open to a private balcony or terrace with furniture.

83 rooms are furnished with 2 queen size beds which are ideal for families up to 4 people: 2 adults + 2 children or 2 adults + 2 teenagers if queen beds in room.

Mon Plaisir Restaurant
Breakfast – 7.30 to 10.30 a.m. Full English & continental breakfast buffet. Lunch – 12.30 to 3 p.m.. À la carte menu and speciality lunches. Elegant table d'hôte dinners or speciality theme buffets are served daily between 7 and 10 p.m. There is an open-cooking buffet and a teppanyaki chef.
Citronella’s Café Light snacks are served at this oceanside restaurant at lunchtime, while the finest Mediterranean cuisine is prepared at dinner time. This elegant establishment is built in harmony with the colonial style of the resort.
Paul et Virginie Restaurant
Located on the beach at La Pirogue next door, specialising in fresh fish, seafood grills and other barbecue items daily. À la carte island specialities are served on selected evenings as from 7.30 p.m. Closed on Monday night.
Dress code : long trousers for gentlemen are requested for the evenings.
BARS
The Plantation Bar
Open daily from 10.30 a.m. until late, The Plantation Bar offers pool side refreshments and snacks, speciality cocktails & evening entertainment.
La Rhumerie
Open nightly from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. this is a quiet venue for aperitifs, after-dinner rums, cognacs, liqueurs & cigars.
Sugar Club Bar
This bar specialises in fresh juices, soft drinks, coffees and teas, although it also serves ice-cold beers. Open daily from 10.30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
