Below are some of the most Frequently asked questions our wedding consultants get from couples. If you do not find an answer to your question, feel free to contact one of our specialists.
A recent trend among couples is to combine the wedding and honeymoon into one experience. This is typically called a "weddingmoon" or a "destination wedding". The idea of a destination wedding grew out of the notion that friends and family members in today’s world are scattered everywhere and not necessarily living in the same town. This disintegration has made it increasingly difficult for couples to appease everyone’s time schedule and preferred location. Choosing a destination wedding provides your guests the opportunity to roll your special day into a minivacation or family getaway.

There are many reasons why an increasing number of couples decide to get married in Mauritius. Many couples look to a wedding in Mauritius as a way to have a unique and memorable wedding experience.
Often, when looking at a guest list, many friends and relatives will have to travel from far away places or countries. A wedding in Mauritius allows them to travel somewhere exotic and fabulous, where they can also enjoy a relaxing vacation; as opposed to booking a flight and hotel in a less exciting hometown.
Also, a large number of couples we meet every year decide upon a Mauritius wedding as they are from different areas of their home country, and do not want to decide against one hometown or for another, so they opt to go to Mauritius that will, from now on, be a special place to each of them.

Formerly the exclusive domain of celebrities and ultra-rich couples, Weddings abroad in general and Mauritius weddings in particular have in recent years become accessible to more and more couples looking to add an exotic touch to their wedding.
Properly planned, a Mauritius wedding can save you up to 70% of the cost of a traditional wedding.
Well, you could but you should know that by working with an experienced travel & wedding coordinator with appropriate negotiating power like Wedding Mauritius you will not only generally receive a better deal for you and your guests but you will also avoid a large number of costly mistakes.
Based on our experience, we know at Wedding Mauritius that making sure your guests are properly taken care of and are able to find suitable accommodations, is as important as taking care of your own plans. Unfortunately, when guests are left to "fend for themselves" it is difficult to make sure they get plans that are convenient, affordable, and close to "where the action is."
Even worse, without the expertise of a travel & wedding professional as Wedding Mauritius with an appropriate level of buying power on their side, couples and their guests are often stuck with individual rates when group rates may have been available to our clients.

Once the ceremony is over, a wide range of options are available to you and your guests. In Mauritius, before and after the wedding, you can plan activities and other amusements for guests. Most of the time, however, guests will be able to plan for themselves and will want to explore the beautiful environment of the island as well as take in the local attractions.
Do not hesitate to ask your wedding coordinator for advice as our experts are knowledgeable about what your guests are most likely to like.

Weddings in Mauritius are very popular with people that are getting married for the second time. Depending on couples, a second wedding can be extravagant or intimate. Many couples getting married the second time around choose to have an intimate destination wedding, as opposed to the elaborate religious wedding they had with their first marriage. Mauritius Weddings as well as most destination weddings are usually perfect for smaller wedding parties, and you can always choose to send out announcements of the happy event afterwards.

It all depends on how many guests are supposed to come to your Mauritius Wedding. For a traditional wedding a month or two is acceptable notice for "Save the Date" cards. Mauritius Weddings however involve travel arrangements, and therefore should be sent out at least 4-6 months in advance. This is to allow the guests to properly budget and plan for the trip, and to make sure that they are able to obtain reservations. As a rule of thumb, the earlier you begin planning your wedding, the greater the likelihood you will be able to book the perfect property and wedding venue for you and your guests.
